The Lagos State University (LASU) has again presented itself as the nut to crack in the comity of academics in the Ivory Towers of honour.

The latest testament to this is that TEN graduates from the Faculty of Law of Lagos State University have each clinched the utopian First Class honour in the just-released Bar final examination results.

The topflight students, according to a release from LASU, are Akinmusire Sina Victor, Owolabi Yusuf Olatunji, Badmus Sulaimon Ayodele, Oyede Mariam Adejumoke, Afolabi Aderonke Salmat, Lawal Adebisi Bilqees, Haastrup Adetumbi Wuraola, Fagbolade Ewaoluwa Blessing, Ogungbo Azeezat Toluwalase and Taiwo Kanyinsola Abiodun.

The number, which is the highest attained so far in a single academic year in the history of the Faculty of Law of the university, has expectedly elicited excitement from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM.

While celebrating the feat, the apparently elated Vice Chancellor congratulated the Dean, Prof. Olatoye and the entire faculty.

She said, “This result is an evidence of the dedication and diligence of all staff.

” I am so proud of you all. Congratulations!”

The achievement has, once again, strengthened the position of LASU Law programme as the flagship academic programme in the university and the Faculty of choice for prospective law students in Nigeria.

Recall that the Faculty of Law also produced the Best Graduating Student with the highest CGPA (5.0) in the history of the university at the 26th Convocation Ceremonies held in June 2023.
