The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the announcement that crowned the meetings of the Joint Committee, mandated by the Libyan House of Representatives and the High Council of State (6 + 6), held in the Moroccan city of Bouznika, on the preparation of regulations of the presidential and parliamentary elections. The General Secretariat appreciated the role played by the Kingdom of Morocco in reaching consensus.
The General Secretariat also expressed the hope that this step would pave the way for holding presidential and legislative elections that meets the aspirations of the Libyan people for security, peace, stability and development, and for preserving Libya's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
