The number of people infected with the disease
on Saturday significantly dropped from the 85 cases reported on June 1, 2022
Nigeria's total COVID-19 cases now stands at 256,148,
according to the data revealed by health officials
Data released by the Nigeria Centre for
Disease Control NCDC also showed that no patients died of coronavirus-related
complications in the past 48 hours, the total number of fatalities remains 3,143.
While five more patients have been
successfully treated and discharged, this raised the total people discharged to
250,065.
The 35 new cases are reported from 4 states of
the federation and Federal Capital Territory.
The breakdown of the NCDC data revealed that
Lagos accounted for 24 cases, while Kano, FCT, Kaduna and Rivers reported 5, 3,
2 and 1 cases respectively.
NCDC added that three states reported zero cases: Delta, Plateau, and Sokoto.
