The 8th edition of the prestigious African Magic Viewers Choice Awards(AMVCA) held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island to its usual glitz and glamour.

Za cvw is a gathering of industry professionals and lovers of African movies and television.

The event, often referred to as Africa’s most prestigious film award ceremony, was held at Eko Hotel and Suites, with media presenter Ik Osakioduwa and South African celebrity Bonang Matheba serving as hosts.

After a two-year hiatus, the AMVCA made a big comeback, featuring brilliant musical performances from Yemi Alade, Dbanj, the top 12 Nigerian Idols contestants and the collaboration everyone cannot stop talking about, Labaja x Rema.

The event also debuted a new category to recognize content creators’ efforts.

The live audience and viewers were treated to a series of happy tears, support, and heartfelt speeches from nominees who received various awards as well as a few prizes.

    Nollywood actress, Osas Ighodaro and actor cum influencer, Denola Grey, both received recognition as the Best Dressed Female and Male in the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

    Ighodaro stormed the red carpet in a silver and gold lace dress, while Denola Grey thrilled the attendees with his three-piece beaded suit.

    Known as one of the most notable awards in Africa’s entertainment industry, celebrities annually showcase their fashion style as fans get to vote for their favourites to clinch the most anticipated ‘Best Dressed’ award.

    Other celebrities such as Bimbo Ademoye, Adunni Ade, Belinda Effah, and others, were enlisted as participants in the category.

    Fans visited the Africa Magic official Instagram page to vote for their favourite celebrity with the best outfits.

    As Osas Ighodaro and Denola Grey emerged with the highest scores, they were given the prestigious ‘Best Dressed’ awards and each got N500,000.
