The three day’s COVID-19 data took Nigeria’s infection level to 255,633.
The health officials also stated that the
fatality toll remains at 3,142 since February 18, 2022, when it recorded one
death.
The breakdown of the data revealed that Lagos
State, the epicentre of the disease, recorded 18 of the new infections, FCT and
Delta recorded 4 and 2 cases respectively. While Kaduna, Oyo and Rivers recorded
one case each.
NCDC added that seven states recorded no cases
of virus within the three days: Ekiti, Kano, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Plateau and Sokoto.
According to NCDC data 3,142 people had lost
their lives to the virus since its outbreak in the country on February 27,
2020, while 249,825 people have recovered and been discharged.
