The initiative known as the Pensure Community Service Programme (PCSP) with the slogan, “Adding Value through Service” aligns with the Leadway Pensure's quest to continually invest in the sustainable development of its host communities across the country.
In actualising these objectives, a financial literacy project for secondary school students was established under the PCSP to drive the implementation of financial education and inclusion from December 2021 to the first quarter of 2022 nationwide. In the last couple of months, this “catch-them-young” initiative executed through workshops and training programmes for students has been hosted in strategically zoned cities, including Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.
Commenting on the initiative, the MD/CEO, Leadway Pensure PFA, Mr. Lanre Idris, said, "As a socially responsible brand, we are committed to fostering a sustainable financial culture through educational and literacy programmes targeted at young Nigerians. Speaking on the future of the PCSP scheme, Mr. Idris noted that other impactful interventions through the initiative are also set to be unveiled soon. "We are working towards unveiling other initiatives within the Pensure Community Service Programme as we are looking to lead the industry in providing impactful and sustainable development for the advancement of our host communities. These initiatives that are currently in the pipeline would be targeted at other socio-economic categories of our customers, beneficiaries, and stakeholders, all in a bid to ensure that the Leadway Pensure PFA brand resonates with our public as undeniably responsible corporate citizens. We believe that through our PCSP platform, we can make fundamental change across the nation, one scheme at a time," he further stated.
