Fabrizio Romano said Bayern still want him to stay, but have
not received any communications from the star striker.
“Barça are in contact with his agent, Lewandowski asks for a
three year deal – but nothing has been agreed yet”.
But another report said Barcelona coach, Xavi has spoken to
Lewandowski to explain the project and convince him.
“The player has given the green light”.
The Daily Mail reported that Lewandowski has informed Bayern
Munich that he won’t sign a new contract with the club and has agreed terms
with Barcelona.
The striker’s current deal with the club expires in the
summer of 2023 and he has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks.
Polish television channel TVP Sport have reported that the
33-year-old has told the club’s CEO and legendary goalkeeper Oliver Kahn that
he plans to leave the club and has agreed personal terms with Barcelona.
If Lewandowski were to make the move, it’s said that he
would become the first Polish player to ever represent Barcelona, Daily Mail
said.
