President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, is set to get married as he engaged the daughter of the Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Zarah Nasir Ado Bayero, on Sunday.
The president’s only son is soon going to walk down the
aisle with the daughter of the Emir of Bichi in Kano, Princess Zahra Bayero.
Sources revealed to that the wedding would take place in a
few months, probably after the sallah celebrations.
The source who pleaded anonymity said:
“Preparations are on top gear for the grand event. As the
tradition provides, the parents of the groom have met with the parents of the
bride to express Yusuf’s interest in marrying Zahra.”
It was also revealed that the nuptials would have already
taken place if not for the first lady, Aisha Buhari’s six-month trip to Dubai.
The source further explained that due to Aisha Buhari’s
return to Nigeria a few weeks to Ramadan, the wedding would probably take place
after the sallah celebration.
Zahra Bayero is currently studying Architecture at a
university in the United Kingdom while Yusuf graduated from the University of
Surrey, Guildford, also in the UK in 2016.
Congratulations to the couple.
Yusuf Buhari earlier made headlines in 2017 when he had a
motorcycle accident when riding with a friend in Abuja.
The presidency confirmed Yusuf suffered a head injury and
multiple fractures in a power bike accident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
on Tuesday, December 26, night.
In other news about the first family, Legit.ng also earlier
reported that President Buhari's son-in-law, Ahmed Indimi, took to social media
to show off his new pet lion.
In a new post on Instagram, Indimi shared photos of the
white lion as he held on to it with a leash.
