That brought the country’s total confirmed cases of
COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus to 112,004.
NCDC also announced the death of 14 people from the virus
infections in the last 24 hours. And 622 more patients have been discharged
after testing negative to coronavirus.
The health agency added today's discharges includes 289 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
A breakdown of the news cases shows that Lagos recorded 776
positive cases, 147 cases were found in Kaduna and 131 cases in Kwara.
Other states that have recorded new cases include: FCT-102, Plateau-78,
Edo-59, Ogun-53, Osun-45, Rivers-37, Taraba-36, Nasarawa-34, Adamawa-33, Kano-26,
Delta-20, Ebonyi-16, Bayelsa-11, Gombe-11 and Borno-2
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 1,172,234
tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was
announced.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, revealed that till date, 112,004 cases have
been confirmed, 89,939 cases discharged and 1,449 deaths have been recorded in
36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
