Nigeria on Saturday recorded 112 new COVID-19 infections with no coronavirus related deaths in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

With the new infections, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), on its verified website disclosed that the tally of confirmed COVID-19 infections in country now 64,996.

According to the health agency, 93 COVID-19 patients who have recovered from the disease have been discharged from isolation centres across the country in the past 24 hours.

The NCDC stated that FCT and Oyo led with 27 new infections each, followed Bayelsa and Rivers with 9 infections each and Delta with 7 infections.

Other states with new infections are:Edo-5, Kaduna-5, Ogun-5, Anambra-3, Katsina-3, Ondo-3, Osun-3, Plateau-3, Niger-2 and Kano-1.

Nigeria has so far tested 705,809 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.

On the 14th of November 2020, 112 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.
Till date, 64,996 cases have been confirmed, 61,029 cases have been discharged and 1,163 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
