The spread of novel Coronavirus infections in Nigeria continues to slowdown on a daily basis. The latest statistics by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control shows that 62 people tested positive for COVID-19 in past 24 hours as the tally of confirmed cases in the country rose to 61,992 on Sunday night.

One deaths were recorded from the virus on Sunday. And 180 patients were discharged, taking the total figures of COVID-19 survivors to 57,465.

NCDC, through its verified Twitter account, said, Taraba recorded the highest number of cases on Sunday with 18 infections, followed by Ogun with 15 cases, FCT and Kaduna had 6 cases each.

While Katsina and Ondo confirmed 4 infections each, Ekiti and Rivers had 3 cases each and Kano, Osun and Sokoto reported 1 case each.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 607,435 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

According to the NCDC, on the 25th of October 2020, 62 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 61,992 cases have been confirmed, 57,465 cases have been discharged and 1,130 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
