    Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Increases by 313, Total Infections 7,839

    Today, Nigeria has comfirmed 313 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control disclosed via it Twitter handle late Sunday.
    The total infections for the country now stand at 7839

    There was an increase in the number of infections 313 reported on Sunday, compared to the number 265 reported on Friday.

    Data from the centre shows that an additional 89 patients recovered from the virus in the country, raising the total discharged people to 2,263

    The total number of fatalities from the virus rose to 226 after five were comfirmed of Coronavirus on Sunday.

    According to the country’s health agency in a tweet, the 313 new cases were reported in 16 states and Federal Capital Territory. These are Lagos, FCT, Rivers, Edo, Kano, Ogun, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Delta, Oyo, Plateau, Kaduna, Kwara, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Niger and Anambra.

    The new cases were reported as follows:
    148-Lagos, 36-FCT, 27-Rivers, 19-Edo, 13-Kano, 12-Ogun, 11-Ebonyi, 8-Nasarawa, 8-Delta, 7-Oyo, 6- Plateau, 5-Kaduna, 4-Kwara, 3-Akwa Ibom, 3-Bayelsa, 2-Niger and 1-Anambra.

    Nigeria has so far tested 44,458 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

    On the 24th of May 2020, 313 new confirmed cases and 5 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
    No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
    Till date, 7839 cases have been confirmed, 2263 cases have been discharged and 226 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
