Smile Communications Nigeria has launched Smile Konnect, a device that enables local and international data roaming services at an affordable rate. MD Godfrey Efeurhobo said the aim is to provide a device that enables customers to use seamless services wherever they go.
He stated that Smile has always set the tone for expanding the broadband frontier, stressing that it believes in quality, speed and reliability.
Abdul Hafeez, Chief Marketing Officer, said that research has shown that over 2 million Nigerians travel out of the country every year and that they spend heavily on roaming. He stated that an average Nigerian spends as much as USD 55.55 a day on roaming alone, noting that Smile Konnect is an answer to cost-effective roaming for its prospective customers. Hafeez said the device allows customers to recharge and manage through different payment channels like Paypal and Smile Konnect App.
