Infinix Hot 6 is the base version of the Hot 6 Pro-an upgrade to the Hot 5 budget series from Infinix Mobility released last year. The Hot 6 has the biggest leap in terms of features compared to other Hot smartphones.

Infinix brought on the trending dual rear shooters first on the budget Hot series, something the S series doesn’t have. The Infinix Hot 6 houses a Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm this time around with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Let’s meet the Infinix Hot 6.

DESIGN
Looking at the back, it seems Infinix is gradually getting better in terms of design. The new device sports an attractive Plastic body that’s far better than its predecessor. We have to take a moment to appreciate the dual rear shooters, they add a unique flair to the device.

The rear fingerprint scanner isn’t going anywhere, taking its rightful position at the rear. Turning over to the sides, we can see the volume keys and power button by the right and the SIM tray by the left. It measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 145g overall. In terms of colours, it’s available in Sandstone Black, Magic Gold, Bordeaux Red and City Blue.

DISPLAY
We knew sooner or later that the Hot budget series will come with a bezel-less display and Infinix pulled through with the Hot 6. The device dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio with its screen, very tiny narrow bezels and super minimal top and bottom bezel.

The 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen will give you the full view experience you’ve been wanting. It has a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 282 pixels per inch density bringing out the best visuals in the budget segment. The screen stretches up to 76.1% screen to body ratio, giving you more screen than bezels.

HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 425 chip from Qualcomm takes control having a 4-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The Quad-core processor runs at the usual speed of 1.4GHz with 28nm process technology, offering a smooth ride. In the graphics department, the Adreno 308 graphics processor dominates.

Just like the Hot 5, there’s 2GB of RAM space available for all your multitasking needs, it has a memory speed of 667MHz as well. For storing files, the storage space is 16GB strong and ready to accommodate all your files, easily upgrade up to 128GB. The Infinix Hot 6 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with XOS 3.0 .

CAMERA
Infinix lovers can take portrait shots with a budget phone. There’s a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and another 2MP telephoto shooter beside it. The cameras come with advanced features to enhance your photography experience, there’s a dual-LED flash as well. For selfies, there’s a 5MP selfie shooter with a front LED flash as well.
