Many
rival fans of two of Nigeria’s great Fuji artistes, Ajibola Alabi Pasuma and
Saheed Osupa could not believe their eyes, when the artistes embraced each
other in a brotherly manner at an event in Ibadan, Oyo.
The two ‘rival’ musicians were invited to the Ramadan lecture put together by the Oyo State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in Ibadan last week Thursday and they were both seated together at the event.
Other
invited guests at the lecture were surprised to see Pasuma and Osupa chatting
together during the event.
Shortly
after, news and pictures started flying on the internet about the ‘rare’
reconciliation, and the internet and key fan bases of the respective musicians
went agog.
While
the reconciliation was celebrated by their different supporters, some others
expressed reservations.
Pasuma
and Osupa are known rivals in the Fuji circle, and they take have taken their
rivalry to their appellations.
When
Pasuma called himself Oganla, Osupa chose to be called Obanla.
