Before top
socialite and a dye-in-wool fan of Fuji Lord, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal was caught
by the Interpol and extradited to the United States of America, where he is
expected to stand trial over multiple suspected cases of drug trafficking, he
was not only a lord to himself, he lavished his 'hard' earned millions on the
things that made him happy and one of such was the fun of having the Fuji Lord
on the stage.
“He would do
anything for K1 and the best moments he had were with Wasiu Ayinde.
Either abroad or
in Nigeria, Wasiu enjoyed heavy patronage from Elele and at the peak of his
show of affection and love for K1, he bought him a diamond studded wristwatch
valued at about 65,000 dollars. The day Wasiu got the watch, he celebrated and
told everyone around him, it was one gift he would value for life.
An impeccable
source in Toronto, Canada told us that at one of the parties, which Rafiu
Ajibola, aka Elele attended and King Wasiu Ayinde was on the band stand some
years ago, he not only outshone the celebrant, even the sight of him at the
party was enough to earn Wasiu a big pay off.
“It was at Wale’s
party in the heart of Toronto, a naming ceremony and Elele turned it into
celebration of money. He is probably an associate of the celebrant, I wouldn't
know, but on that day, it was as if Elele was the one celebrating. While people
struggled to spray Wasiu $1 notes, our friend was on a much higher
denomination,” our source disclosed.
In the United
States of America, Elele has a sister and a distant cousin in Chicago, the
cousin is reputed to have also fallen for fast life as a result of which she
hastily married a small time Nigerian drug dealer in Texas few years ago
despite marriage proposals from two other guys, one based in the United Kingdom
and the other working with a United States’ government department.
The marriage was
short lived as the hubby got arrested even before the birth of their child.
Elele's cousin has since moved back to Chicago from Texas with her baby living
in shame and away from family and friends. She is a licensed Nursing
practitioner, I.E.A. Nurse.
As at the time of
his arrest, Elele was investing heavily in an hotel project somewhere on Lagos
Island, his arrest could be said to have dealt a fatal blow to the project.
He had thought of
retiring peacefully into his hotel from where he hoped to build on his business
since hotel business is really lucrative.
Our investigation
revealed that Elele was able to complete the building of his mansion at
Sangotedo a couple of years ago. These appeared to be his known major projects
here in Nigeria, while we are still digging into what he really acquired while
he was in the United States of America and Canada.
On the family
front, Elele has a female child in Lagos, but Risikat Elegushi, his wife and
whose surname Rafiu uses instead of his own surname, Afolabi, which is not
known to the public, is yet to have a child for him.
Another discovery
is the fact that Rafiu Afolabi aka Elele is actually an Ibadan, Oyo State
indigene, who was raised in Lagos.
The arrest and
extradition of Elele has raised serious dust in the social circle, while his
circle of friends have done a really great job at keeping it closely wrapped up
from the public before First Weekly Magazine opened the pandora box and leaked
this much kept secrets.
To show the extent
of their desperation, immediately Elele was caught, this close circle of
friends enlisted the support of a very influential ex-governor to secure his
release.
Our source, who
painted the scenario, succinctly said “it does not work that way with Interpol
and the United States drug agency, you can only get off the hook only when they
don't have an iron clad evidence, and trust me, they won't come for you and
when they come, there is nowhere to hide. When they can move into a sovereign
country and capture a whole president and get him to America to face trial and
subsequently jailed, then tell me who in the name of the devil is Elele to be
let off the hook at the sight of money? Nigeria could afford to buy his way
out, but it doesn't work like that here in the United States.
“We understand the
ex-governor attempted to use his influence and also threw a bait of N30m to
prevent his arrest and extradition but he failed, and being a smart guy, he
retreated and washed his hands off the matter as soon as the attempt failed,”
the source revealed.
The guy is smart!
