Nigerian senator and businessman Ned Nwoko has marked six years of marriage with his sixth wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, by dedicating a heartfelt poem to her on Instagram.
Titled “Six Years Later…: She Still Can’t Resist Me,” the poem, shared alongside a photo of the couple, reflects on their enduring love and deep connection.
A Love That Endures
In the poem, Nwoko describes their love as “untamed, wild, and free,” praising Regina for standing by him through life’s storms:
“Six years and counting, and what do they see?
A love untamed, wild, and free.
Regina, my fire, my sweetest delight,
Through every storm, you’ve held me tight.”
Adding a touch of humor, Nwoko revealed a playful moment they shared on their anniversary morning.
“This morning, feeling bold and true,
I sent you a message, out of the blue:
‘Will you marry me?’ a reckless play.”
Regina’s response was equally lighthearted:
“Hahahahaha! Always! The biggest YES!”
Addressing Critics
Nwoko also took the opportunity to address critics of their unconventional marriage. In his poem, he dismissed societal expectations, emphasizing that their love is fierce and genuine:
“They whisper of love in measured tones, as if hearts are caged, made of stone. But ours, Regina, is fierce and wild, a dance of fire, God’s own child.”
The couple’s age difference and polygamous marriage have been topics of public discussion since they tied the knot in 2019. However, their public displays of affection and unwavering support for each other continue to captivate their fans.
As they celebrate six years together, Nwoko’s poetic tribute is a testament to the love, laughter, and resilience that define their relationship.
