Ghanaian hip-hop and afrobeats artist, Edward Kofi Agyemang Amoah, professionally known as Kofi Mole, has announced the release of his new single, “YOPOO,” from his forthcoming EP.

The song YOPOO includes Reggie Osei and Kwaku DMC, both from Kumasi, Ghana, who are well-known in the Asakaa music scene.

The song YOPOO, as explained by the “Mensah” hitmaker, symbolizes the concept of purity and cleanliness.

“I’ve been deep down the mud. I had to fight and never let it break me. I have overcomed those trying moments and I feel so clean and pure in this point in my life. Its feels more like a rebirth” he said in an interview.

“I chose Reggie and DMC because their music talks about their transition from the trenches to greatness which connects with YOPOO” He added.

Kofi Mole introduced his debut single, titled “Mensah,” to the public in 2018. This track featured Kwesi Arthur, who was nominated for the 2018 BET Awards, and was skillfully produced by Kayso. The release of this record was facilitated by NGA, and it gained significant traction through a social media movement known as GroundUp Chale.

Later in 2018, Kofi Mole received an invitation to collaborate on the highly acclaimed hip-hop song “Biibi Ba” by Mr. Sarkodie.

The musical composition received nominations in the categories of Best Hip Hop Song and Best Edited Video at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Kofi Mole was honored with the Next Rated Act accolade at the 2019 3Music Awards ceremony, which took place in Accra.
